VSA and (!) Lights after rack replacement

I am getting the (!) and VSA lights on my dash after the rack was replaced. I don't particularly care about stability control because it is not something that I use, but the dash light bugs the hell out of me. What could be causing this? What kind of scanner can scan and possibly reset these lights?

When I first start the car the (1) light comes on first. After about 30 seconds the VSA light comes on.

I just want to get rid of this.

That's the point. It's there to save you when your Pilot is skidding somewhere other than where you're pointing the steering wheel.

There's a code. Borrow a scanner from a parts store and it will tell you. The wheel speed sensors that @Goldwing2000 mentioned break if you look at them too hard. The VSA light comes on above about 15 mph when any of them are broken. The part is cheap and it's easy to fix. The only bad part is sometimes the sensor crumbles on the way out and you have to drill it out of the casting.

It's likely due to codes being cleared, and you need to reset the calibration for the yaw sensor.
There are posts like this that show you how to do it without a bi-directional scan tool: https://www.piloteers.org/threads/vsa-and-triangle-lights.157901/#post-1574571

There are easier ways with a good bi-directional scan tool, like seen in this YT video:

I have an Xtool D8, and this happened to me last year.
I did an ALL systems scan, and there was an ABS code in that section, and when I cleared all codes the VSA and triangle light came on.
I had to go into the special functions section and was able to use the scan tool to recalibrate.

You can buy something cheaper, especially if it is for Honda only: Launch X431 Elite for Honda
Picked up one of these late last year, to put in my daughters car while at college, in case she ever got codes.
Was about $120 at the time.
It should allow you to do all the Honda specific functions including Key programming, etc.

I bought the Xtool D8 only because I do all work on my vehicles, and wanted something that would support the wife's Rav4 Hybrid.
I think I bought that for somewhere around $500 range during Prime Day sale.
It's already paid for itself, especially with all the free lunches I get from coworkers when they have issues and I scan their vehicles, including programming keys for them.

I just solved this exact problem. 4 months ago I bought a 2007 Honda Pilot with 200,000 miles on it and both VSA lights were on exactly as you described. Went to the Honda dealer for a pre-purchase inspection and they wanted $150 to diagnose the light (NO!). Went to my regular mechanic and he was like "Why does it even matter?"

So I researched it and researched it and eventually found the solution in a YouTube video.

You buy this scanner from Amazon (30 day return policy - just sayin): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C2DBJYCD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

And then you do a little reset procedure where you tell the car where the steering wheel center is by turning the wheel lock to lock. The procedure is in the scanner.

I'm both shocked and relieved that the fix is so simple. Apparently just getting an alignment causes this condition and if the shop doesn't have the knowledge to reset the steering wheel center then you are forever with both lights on and nobody cares.

2007 Pilot EX-L AWD Had triangle light at initial ignition power up. Also VSA light illuminated after driving a short distance. Foxwell scanner showed 84-1 code. Tried the pin 4 to pin 9 jumper and this was NOT entering the mode to clear the codes. The final fix was connecting dtc pin 9 directly to a chassis ground connection (shiny bolt in the footwell). Once I grounded pin 9, the code clear procedure worked correctly.

Also used the "chassis" ground for the VSA neutral memorization procedure as well.

I don't know what the problem was, but on this particular pilot, the pin 4 to pin 9 jumper wire/clip did NOT work correctly. Again, the workaround was connecting dtc pin 9 to CHASSIS GROUND.

Hope this helps someone. This forum is fantastic.

Well after replacing the Wheel speed sensor on my 08, I have had the (!) and VSA Light on.

I ordered the Foxwell tn630 Plus as suggested and followed the directions in the video, but still the light wont reset. The Foxwell wont even automatically discover my VIN, nor does it appear to scan correctly... Almost seems glitchy, getting a lot of "no communication" etc.

As you can see there is no option to rescan and reset the VSA from my options. My options are no the same as in the video.
