Easy to remove seat

You do not have to completely remove the seat. There are only 4 bolts to remove assuming your 07 seat is the same as my 05 power seat.

Email me at tbusa48@yahoo.com and I will send you the instructions. Read other posts on this thread and I think you will see it is a pretty easy installation.

Thanks for your interest.

It seems as if this same problem exists with the second generation Pilot. I too felt the 2011 we purchased to be comfortable on the test drive and 15 minute trips. But after long trips, my 6'4" frame starts to feel "cramped". Does anyone know of an rail extension for the 09-12? I looked at the front mounting bracket and the 2nd generation is definitely different than the 03-08. The front bracket is not flat. It is set at about a 70 degree angle, thus not allowing a move backward, only forward.

I really like the Pilot in general, but the '04 Pilot we had was more comfortable than our '11. I have actually been thinking about trading in the Pilot for a Highlander, just because of the additional leg room.

The 2005 Pilot seems much more cramped compared to my 03 Pilot. The 05 has a dead pedal rest which might be the cause.

An extension kit was designed to allow for more aft adjustment of the seat. No modifications required for installation. Kit consists off 4 bolts, 2 sections of u channel, 2 compression spacers and 2 carpet spacers. The factory trim still fits and conceals most of the kit.

The benefit is more rearward seat travel and more comfort for taller pilot owners.

I have installed the kit on my own 05 Pilot and it is VERY rigid and works very well. The kit uses grade 8 bolts, factory mounting holes and the same (or higher) tensile strength materials. However, this kit is NOT approved by Honda and anyone ordering a kit assumes all risks installing and using the kit.

Kit is $45 including shipping and detailed illustrated instructions. See pics below.
I’m replying to a very old post, but i just bought a 2020 Pilot. The front of the driver seat bottom will not adjust downward enough. I feel the pressure of the seat on the back of my thighs and feel like i’m sitting in a cup. Very uncomfortable. Are you familiar with the attachments to the floor well enough to know if it is possible to add a riser on the back of the seat attachment to tilt the bottom forward?

Are these kits still available?? How can I order them?? I need the for a drivers side 2016 Pilot
I don't see that Honda is selling anything like this for a 3rd generation Pilot. The Pilot seat seems to go pretty far back. I guess if your 6'5"+.

Thank you very much for your kind words and feedabck. It really makes all the effort of designing and making the part worthwhile to see that it solved a problem and helped another Pilot owner.

I agree this board is a tremendous resource. We owe a special thank you to those who took the time to set it up and all the sponsors.

It was a pleasure dealing with you too. Drive safe and enjoy the new found comfort!
Will these kit a 2022 Pilot?

Thank you

I'm late in adding to my post of 2019: I went to a custom car shop and they fabricated a couple of 2" risers and placed them under the driver's seat rear mounts, thus raising the back of the horizontal seat and allowing me to roll the vertical seatback backwards, lessening the cup feeling. $200 in 2019.
