Hi Brian, this is Chris

If you are not satisfied with the kit, please consider sending it back to me and I will pay you $45 for the kit. The slightly lower price covers my shipping which was included in the original price. It also covers my cost for replacing the grade 8 bolts and nuts which should not be reused.

I want customers to know that I stand behind my product and my goal is always 100% (or more) satisfaction.

If you decide to return the kit to me, please Email me at chris.reno@onsemi.com and I will provide my address.

Thank you for considering my offer.

Chris

I think I am going to order one of these kits, but I do have 1 concern. I am not very mechanically ept, bordering on inept. I have been reading comments in this thread that it takes most people about 45 mins to install. I know that the kit is shipped with detailed installation instructions, but I'd like to get a feel for what is involved with installation so I can decide if I am capable of doing it or not before I buy.

Chris, could you give a brief description of what is entailed and the tools required. I am not looking for the full-blown instructions, just something to give me some idea of what I would need to do.

thanks,
Murray

Install procedures

The installation requires removing the 2 front and 2 rear seat base mounting bolts. Install the 2 u channel extension brackets to the front floor then reattach the front seat to the studs which stick up from the U channel.

For the rear of the seat, insert the 2 spacers between the seat and floor mounting points, insert longer bolts provided, tighten and you are done.

I do not have the parts in front of me now but I think all that is needed are a 14mm socket (or wrench) and a 9/16 socket (or wrench). The trickiest part is getting the rear seat bolts to thread into the floor.

I will Email you the detailed instructions separately but I do not know how to post a link here.

If anyone has some webspace, please Email me and I will send you the installation instructions. Please setup a link to your webspace and link the instructions in this thread so anyone can find them.

Thank you, Chris

New Email address

Please contact me at tbusa48@yahoo.com. My old Email no longer works.

The kits are still available for $65 including USPS priority shipping.

I am also offering the Aluminum spacer upgrade for no extra charge in the next 3 kits ordered. This is a $15 saving so order soon if you want to save a few bucks.

Thank you,
Chris

Just a quick update to describe a recent improvement in my seat base extension kit.

The end of the longer bolts used to attach the rear seat base have now been custom ground to make it easier to find the threaded hole in the mounting flange. (No jokes about finding the hole guys, OK??)

I have kits ready to ship for $65 (including shipping to continental U.S.)

I will try to attach a detailed image below:

Having installed this on the passenger side of my wifes 05 pilot back in early 2006, I can say that would have been a big help the day I installed mine as that was my biggest problem (doing it on my own and trying to turn the bolt by hand to get it started aka "finding the hole").

BTW mine is holding up SOLID (test subject) 6'6' but now 335lbs - if it holds me it's pretty darn strong.

For someone who bought your kit this past summer but has not gotten around to installing it yet, are these bolts available for sale individually? If they can be used with a kit from this summer and make the installation easier, I would like to use them.

thanks,
Murray

Bolt retrofit

I will ship you 2 of the newer style bolts at no cost to you. I'll plan to modify and use your bolts since they have not been installed.

Could please send me back the 2 you have. I know it may seem trivial, but I have to pay about $2.70 for each of the grade 10.9 flange headed bolts so I would appreciate it if you could send them back in exchange for the new design bolts I'll ship to you.

Please Email me at tbusa48@yahoo.com with your address and I'll ship them today. I'll reply with my shipping address.

If you don't want to hassle with retuning the bolts, I'll still ship you the newer style. My main concerns are to provide excellent customer service and a well designed product.

Thanks for your order.

Chris,

Not that I am in a hurry for these, but I am not sure you got my original email. I just resent it to you.
thanks,
Murray

Hi Murray,

I thought I had already sent you the 2 newer style bolts. I have not received the bolts you were going to return either.

I'll send you 2 more bolts but please ship the original 2 back to me.

Thanks.
Chris

Sorry Murray. I must have forgotten to send you my address. I was laid off on 1/15 and have been doing too many other things I guess. I'll PM you with it,

Chris, I received the new bolts on Monday. I looked around a little bit in my garage for the kit but couldn't find it right away. I know it is in there. This weekend, I plan to do some spring cleaning in there and I will find the kit and get the old bolts shipped off to you.

Thanks!
Murray

seat extender kit

If you need more legroom, I offer a seatbase extension kit which gains 1 1/2" more seat travel for driver or passenger front seats. No mods to your vehicle are required and this is a simple bolt on kit.

I have kits already fabricated and ready for immediate delivery using USPS priority mail. Price is still just $65 per seat including shipping.

I may be reached at tbusa48@yahoo.com if interested.

Thank you and hope you and your families are enjoying the Holiday.
