Does anyone know if the rear bumper applique comes in clear? Parts websites are showing a picture with the clear applique but I ordered one (at around $50) and it was black. I called the supplier and they said it only comes in black. I told them that it was deceiving to show a picture of an item that is not what you get when you order. They said it was a picture from Honda so that makes me think it is available but when I did a little deeper research, I can't seem to find any actual clear parts available.

It only has color black. There are youtube videos show how to properly put it on. Make sure you wash the bumper part well, dry it, and use included alcohol pad clean again before applying it. Put included squeegee into white fiber sleeve. Find center, remove the small center backing, and then work one side at a time slooooowly so you don't get air bubbles.

I watched several youtube videos (for Honda cars) but still had to pull it up to redo it as I left too much gap between applique and bumper edge. I made sure my fingers never touch the sticky side. I used backing to hold the applique.

After finishing it, I noticed four 1/8" small bubbles along the flat to down curve edges. I couldn't squeeze them out so I used a needle to pierce the bubbles and let air out (made sure needle tip not touch bumper surface).

The applique is super sticky and it has been over two months through hot Florida summer, heavy rains. No peeling or curling.

Only wish it's bigger to cover more area but it would make application harder.

I researched this same thing before ordering mine. I was sure it was only in black but my dealer said it was clear. probably due to that same picture.
When it arrived, sure enough it was black.

I think it looks fine overall. It was a pain to get right. I'd be nervous about ordering an aftermarket one as the OEM is curved and made just for the Pilot.

I installed one only accord and it was clear. It installed more like tint with water and the squeegee. The Pilot one just sticks on and you just have to get the air bubbles out.

Here are some pics of it installed.
Traded my 2016 EXL-N AWD in this past weekend for a 2017 Touring AWD. I just couldn't take the bugs in the NAV system anymore. I had the Applique on my 2016 and will likely get it for the new one as I'm a traveling sales guy who is always loading stuff in and out and it will preserve that little ledge on top of the bumper. This should be included on all new Pilots, especially the upper trim levels in my opinion. I think it's BS that we have to add it after the purchase on a vehicle this expensive.

I watched this video (his finger touched underside. I peeled end backing while used squeegee press down the tape.)

And this one:

I wish Pilot's applique has wider white backing sized like this one used for Fit for easier edge alignment.

This one is on my list of accessories after the lower chrome door garnish.

Go to a place that does paint protection film and have them apply to your rear bumper. It's clear and is warrantied.
