Is the Idle/Stop feature connected to the FAKRA/MOST cables?

I have a '22 SE in which the idle/stop feature just stopped working altogether, which was fine with me. I then got the FAKRA/MOST cable recall done and now my idle/stop feature is working again. Are the two things related or just coincidence? I don't like the idle/stop feature but I'm fine with just turning it off when I drive.

Have you had the recall/update done for the Idle Stop system?

Perhaps your battery was just a little too low to allow the Idle Stop to work prior to you taking it in for the other Farka cable recall. The mechanic may have for some reason put a charger on the battery during or after him working on the cables which then may have put your battery voltage over the limit which allows the Idle Stop to work. He could have charged the battery because he had the door(s) open while working on the cables, he may have noticed a lower voltage while testing the cables, etc.
