What color choice are folks going for on the new pilot?

I like the brown interior as well, in which case I would probably choose Modern Steel. The problem is that when compared to the Machine Gray on my Mazda, the Modern Steel looks a bit drab, and in some lights I detect a purplish hue.

It is probably a moot point, because even though there are a couple of features on the Elite that would be nice to have, the EX~L sans the sunroof, rails, and fake exhaust tips is very appealing. I am in the minority, but I even prefer the 5 spoke wheels.

I guess I have to say Platinum White since I have that on order. But the black and Lunar Silver look pretty good too.

I do agree that in some of the recent videos, the Sonic Gray does have a purplish / blue hue to it but I don’t know if that’s just the camera not doing it justice.
The Honda sonic grey does have a blue tint to it in person. Compare to the Audi Nardo Grey color which is more of a pure grey.

I'm bummed they didn't keep the Sapphire Steel Metallic in the mix for 2023. That with the brown interior would be a big motivator. I realize they have to keep the combinations of options limited but it sure is frustrating when you can't choose your preferred exterior/interior combination like the OBP with brown.

Diffused Blue gets my vote, it matches perfectly with the Trailsport'ss other exterior tweaks.

For the remaining trims, I think Obsidian Blue looks the best but I would go for either white or silver since they look clean for so much longer.

There is no embargo on YouTube reviews. They can do what they want once they have been delivered to dealers. Supply is low initially so it might be a while before they all have access to a Pilot. There is already one review out there
2023 Honda Pilot EX-L: TEST DRIVE+FULL REVIEW - YouTube

Plus one from Car Mom
Feel like these should go in the "Videos" thread

Interesting that THIS EXL (on the first video) comes with HANKOOK DYNAPRO tires. I thought the EXL came with Eagle tires based on another video. He also says the wheels are 20", but they should be 18s if this is an EXL.

Lastly, this car has the cheesy pinstripe with a little Honda H. My gawd

According to the reviewer, if you are ever in the Homosassa area, please look up this dealer too

EDIT - as I keep watching the video, I see this is a Front Wheel Drive Only car, so maybe they put those Hankooks on those 2WDs thinking they are not going to be ice and snow areas

EDIT 2 - wow Love Honda puts a fugly sticker on the back of the car. Also they apparently are one of our friendly dealers who tints the windows for you, for a nominal charge of your first born child

Ii is so funny how Americans which I am one hate colored cars. You can see by the poll and parking lots all cars are black, which , gray. I like colored cars and will never buy black white and gray.
I also wonder why our culture does not likes colors. My thought is that Americans do not like risk/attention and buy a color can be risky and stand out.
Another thought is people concern about resale value feeling that you car will sell better if majority of people like the color of your car - black, white, gray. The irony is that since everyone buys those colors the resale value is lower because there are a ton on the used market and that rare red, blue, yellow car has more value.

While I don't like red or yellow on a family SUV, I did vote for Diffused Blue. My next vehicle will likely be a Suburban/Yukon XL base model and I'm hoping the greens they have stick around so I can get one.

"None of the colors Honda offers" is the only correct answer here.

I would love olive/forest green, or even brown. Unlikely to ever happen with Honda. But then, I want a manual transmission too, but that's never gonna happen with any modern tech-laden, nanny-equipped CUV. I accept that. A bit harder for me to accept the very limited range of paint choices from Honda. Harder still to accept the hideous Diffuse Sky Blue option for the Trailsport; surely they could have up with something better than that one for their "look at me, I'm special" color.

I settled for the "I only look purple under certain lighting" Sonic Grey Pearl option for the Trailsport I have "on order". Might have gone with Modern Steel Metallic if it was available for the Trailsport trim (it's not). Dark blue's not a Trailsport option either. Have had Black vehicles in the past, just too hard to keep clean. Silver is, um, "OK", but we've already got a CR-V in that same color. Just don't like white, and the red is too bright.

Just give me forest/olive green. With a manual.

I like the Cypress Green that Toyota is offering. Someone posted about colors that aren't mineral/metallic, white or black. I've noticed on some of the old TV shows from the late 70s and early 80s and I really had forgotten that cars were so colorful back then. We've gone into the grey zone in the past 20 years. Bring back more colors!!
