VCM question

So I am new here and my 2014 Honda Pilot is new to me. I have been trying to decipher all the posts on the VCM issue. It is turning my brain to mush.

I started googling and got a link to this site:

What Is VCM on a Honda? - Honda The Other Side

which says:

"Can I Disable VCM on a Honda?

Only the models produced in 2013 and afterward have VCM-3, which provides a switch to disable VCM. But prior models have no built-in system for disabling the VCM. So, many users tried to disable the system using VCM disablers. "

So if this is true and my Pilot has a "switch" to disable VCM where is it? And if Ii have it why the need for a separate disabler?

Thanks,
Roxi

Edit: Just read another article that says I have a VCM-2?????

there's not much to decipher... just buy a device (such as SVCM) to disable it and enjoy the benefits of having a full time V6 engine and not worry about the potential side effects that the VCM system inadvertently introduces
Knowledge is power. Just trying to understand it. I read a bunch of posts that kept talking about monitoring the temps and didn't get the connection. Finally came across a post that explained that the VCM didn't kick in until a certain temp was reached. I plan on getting a disabler, I just wanted to understand HOW they worked, what was involved, etc. Glad I found this site. Just being new, all the info is just a tad overwhelming...trying to get through a lot of it.
