I went to a website and there were 4-5 different Honda filters for my vehicle.
What is the exact one I need?
2025 trail sport.

Wix 57356XP is a good choice. Can be found about anywhere.

OEM Honda and Wix, for example, are very close in price when buying online. Our dealer also has been very fair on fluids, filters and wiper blade refills.

Why not use a Honda OEM oil filter? Would cost more but we are talking about $5 more per oil change.
I have nothing negative to say about the OEM oil filter. I don’t believe it’s necessary to go out of my way to get one or pay that $5 more for one when there are known products that do just as well at filter the oil.
Yup. I order them 6 at a time from Conicelli Honda for less than $7.00 each along with the washers. Yeah, there's a bit of shipping cost.
That’s sounds like a reasonable price if the shipping cost isn’t outrageous.

The standard 'A02' Honda oil filter is comparable to a mid-grade FRAM filter.
You can buy a higher-grade FRAM filter for about the same price at Walmart.
Menards has great prices on Purolator filters.
The only reason I can see for a DIYer choosing the standard Honda filter is a concern that a claim might be denied during the warranty period for using a non-OEM oil filter.

When the dealer does the oil change on my Pilot, I request (and pay the slight upcharge for) the S2000 oil filter.
Once sourced from Filtech and now made by Mahle, it has metal end caps unlike the paper/fiber/composite ones for which the 'A02' and some other FRAM filters have received criticism.
