I painted the rims on my prior truck, gloss black using wheel paint and clear coat. They were still looking great like over 12 years later.

 

I absolutely love these new HPD wheels right here that are going on the 2026 Passport. Gloss black, round hole design. Waaaaaaant!

I was surprised how much better the trailsport rims look blacked out.

 

Big fan of the standard TS wheel compared to the HPD honestly

 

I really liked them too so I just had them powder coated black and replaced the center caps.

 

I very much like the black wheels on my 2021 Pilot SE.

 

Saw a post on Reddit last night and a guy had a red TrailSport with gloss black HPD wheels. Which are basically just modified TS wheels anyways. I thought he had painted them, but he said that’s how they came. So it appears they added a gloss black HPD wheels option, without the polished silver lip. They look so much better IMO.

I almost painted mine, because I didn’t like the polished lip. I ended up just buying the Ridgeline HPD wheels, as I liked them more. But nice to see they’re adding other options. I assume there will be a gloss bronze without the lip as well.

Has anyone confirmed the polished lip is gone for the 18s? I just tried calling College Hills and they said it still has the polished. Is there a different part number? Thanks

 

Sorry I cannot confirm 100%. Everytime I searched for them, the photos were with the old style polished lip. For all I know this person was mistaken and the dealer could have painted them and up charged? I have no idea.

I’m not certain. There’s only Black HPD and Black HPD+. Bronze HPD and Bronze HPD+. He has the Black, not the Black+ from what I can tell. Black + came with the bigger fender flares and decal.

That’s why I’m wondering if the dealer didn’t hook this up? I mean it still is possible they make them solid gloss now. But I can’t verify proof of it. Other than what this person said. But Honda later did several versions of the Pilot HPD 20” wheels. So anything’s possible.

 

Mine are powder coated. My local dealer has 2 HPD trailsports and they both have the silver lip with black hpd center caps.
