Ignition replacement cost

I’m reaching out to see what the opinion is about the quote that I rescue Ed for a complete ignition switch replacement in my Pilot. With a new OEM Honda part and three hours labor and added shop fees the quote is $2100. Something tells me that this is a bit much. I appreciate your input and any constructive ideas. I definitely need to try and keep Penny going for another 75-100K. Currently she’s at 150K miles.

$2100 is extremely expensive for just the replacement of an ignition switch. So, either it genuinely does cost that much parts & labor, or there's more to this story.
Maybe you can get a second opinion.

There are some less expensive aftermarket solutions.
