I don't remember if this has already been posted. There is a safety recall notice from the NHTSA regarding certain years of Honda Pilots, Passports and Ridgeline's potentially having the hood coming open with the vehicle is in motion. Attached is the NTHSA recall notice. Affected owners should have had a letter mailed to them regarding the issue on January 18, 2022.

I am re-posting for the benefit of other owners who might be affected:

Bulletin Number: 21-086 NHTSA Recall Number 21V932 On 01-28-21, I received a Safety Recall Notice on my 2017 Pilot. The gaps between the hood and the grill allow for air entry, potentially resulting in hood vibration at highway speeds. Over time the hood striker can be damaged and my lead tot he hood opening while driving, obstructing the driver's view and increasing the risk of a crash. Hood vibration noises or a loose hood are potential warnings of a failing hood latch striker.

My statement, goes on to say, call any authorized Honda dealer and schedule an appointment to have your vehicle repaired for FREE.

Check recall information for your vehicle by assessing the Honda Recall Lookup tool at www.recalls.honda.com and enter your VIN. If you have questions or concerns call American Honda's Customer Support Center at 1-800-234-2138 Mon to Fr 6am to 5pm PST or contact Honda Dealer or www.owners.honda.com/help/customer-relations.
