It has and will work from the keyfob.

 

Yeh I believe it's standard in Canada from I recall in the Honda Canada video. not sure how USA is though since they usually have heated steering wheel and foldable mirrors included

 

I have been trying to figure this out as well, and I think the fob works for short distance, but you need Honda link and a subscription for longer distances. I really hope it doesn’t take a paid subscription, but I think it does.

 

My Buick is like that. Decent range on the remote and phone app works any distance. Car came with a 5 year subscription to the app. No idea what the monthly fee is after that but I won't be subscribing.

 

the fob range for my 2019 rdx is 330 ft which is pretty sufficient for me. I'll be fine as long as 300ft+

 

Did you read it. That is HONDA's page on 2023 Pilot Honda Link subscriptions plans and what you get with each. The fob will lock/unlock the vehicle as well as start it from a short distances. If you want to lock or unlock the vehicle remotely by phone or start the vehicle remotely by phone you have to buy a subscription. It is as simple as that.

So I bought one ...2023 pilot AWD exl... And I can confirm that it does have remote start via key fob only and only the higher trims have access to pay for a subscription to access HondaLink remote start functions ...which is absolutely absurd IMO...why wouldn't they think ppl with the lower trims wouldn't want that feature... I don't want the fancy sunroof or the cooling seats or the heated steering wheel... But I would definitely like to start my vehicle from anywhere 🙄🙄🙄
