I would like to know if anyone has two car seats facing rear on the 2nd row bench of a pilot 2017. I heard that Diono are great if you are looking for slim seats. I hope to have two rear facing on the wide side of the bench so that we can still have access to the 3rd row. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have 2 Diono Rainier's in the wide bench side. Outter one facing forward and middle facing rear. I believe that the Rainiers are a bit wider than the Radian RXT's. They fit fine and allow the shorter side to move forward. I don't think you'll have a problem with 2 rear facing unless the Driver is tall and needs to recline the seatback. The Diono's have high backs so you may need the foam angle adjuster.

Check out the car seat lady's website. She has reviews on narrow car seats, reviews on particular vehicles, etc. that can help you buy confidently.

For our 2nd gen I believe we will invest in the Clek Floonf if for nothing else I like saying the name and it costs the same as the Radian RXT (so expensive but nothing else is this narrow). We currently have on forward facing, one rear facing and are hoping to add a third to the mix. By that time we will have 1 booster, 1 forward facing (probably in the Britax Marathon we have now) and one rear facing in the new seat.

I previously had 2 Diono Radian RXT on the wider 60% side and I was able to slide the 40% forward to gain access to 3rd row. I did have to PUSH the middle car seat over a because the seat belt buckle slightly hits it. I have forward facing on the driver side with rear facing in the middle.

Because i have 2 cars (4 car seats). I recently swapped car seats. Put a safety 1st 60 car seat for my older forward facing with Diono radian rear facing on the 2nd row. It can still slide the 40%, but I really have To PUSH the car seats over to get the seat to slide past the buckle... it's a slight nuisance but it works.
