I plan to install a 2 channel amp to power the stock subwoofer and new center in a 2008 EX. The DDX812 (5.1) will power the stock L/R F/R speakers. Is there a 14pin harness adapter to tap into the OEM B wiring without splicing cables.
You have a few options:nsaspook said:Where would be a good place to mount a center channel speaker?

- Mount the new radio underneath the HVAC controls (you'll need a custom kit or the HA1703b from Scosche) and then mount a single-din center channel speaker (i.e. Alpine SBS-05DC) in the upper area - use any of the Pilot-specific single din kits.
- Alpine, Kenwood and Pioneer make surface mount center channel speakers that you can mount on top of the dash.
- Cut a hole in the dash to accomodate a flush-mount speaker (anywhere from 4" to 6.5").

Been on vacation for the last week. I have the unit and the HD radio ready to install this week. The 13 band EQ is for both units per manual.rod_b said:nsaspook - do you have the DDX812 already? Can you verify whether it has the 13 band EQ that the DNX8120 has. I don't need the nav of the 8120. Already got a KNA-G510 with my current HU. Trying to save some cash but really like the thought of the 13 band EQ.
Thank younsaspook said:
The second harness is for the subwoofer wiring. The OEM radio had a built in amp.
