Does anyone have experience with an adapter to put in the overhead console above the mirror to connect a dash cam or just add a USB-C port?
Looking for one for a 2025 Pilot EX-L to avoid dangling wire or running around dashboard.

The Dongar 7-pin is not the right part, you need to use the universal adapter with an adapter to usb-c. I believe the Pilot connector is a 6-pin which Dongar doesn’t make yet, at least one which will work with the Pilot.

I did this exact installation about 2 months ago, using their universal with micro usb termination and then used an adapter to change the end to a usb-c to fit my Garmin cam. It works great and really makes for a clean looking installation.

Do you mean installing a 2 Ch dashcam? I just put the rear on the upper part of the back window. Installed front camera, ran wiring in front headliner, down the A Pillar, unbolted the cover and zip tied the wiring to stay out of the airbags path. Then dropped down to the fuse panel for power.

For the rear cam I ran above the edge of the trim, ran the wiring along the headliner edge. Tucked way back in there to avoid side curtain airbags. Ran wiring to the rear cam which I mounted on the top edge of the glass. I pulled those back panels to run and tuck the wiring on the hatch.

I don't know why people want to use an outside camera with wires, just use the Fitcamx for the Pilot. It's seamless in design, wires into the power supply built in, and easy to install. Lots of videos on how to do it too.

because the image quality of Fitcamx is mediocre compared to some other cameras like Viofo A229Pro for example

Has anyone tried this:

The plug 'should' work on dome light connection behind the sun-glass holder. The plug looks the same, was hoping someone else has tried.

That's the plug that I want to try in my '25 Pilot.
