Maybe check the follow distance in your Adaptive Cruise settings.

I don't like adaptive cruise so I don't use this "feature".

 

I do like and do not use the adaptive cruise feature either. It would be the only reason for the exiting vehicle to cause your vehicle to slow that I can think of.

 

This happens on a variety of occasions. Although the system is very smart, when approaching an off-ramp, the vehicle is unsure whether we intend to go straight or take the ramp. Because of this, it makes the "safer" choice which is match the speed of the vehicle exiting. After driving my 2023 Pilot TS for 30K miles I just anticipate this and go manual for those events. Otherwise I love adaptive cruise control for long drives. Also, I agree that a longer following distance reduces the effects of this, or you can also veer a little extra to the left at the ramp and usually the car figures it out more quickly.

 

With the cruise control enabled but not in use, press and hold the follow-distance button to switch to the cruise control mode you like. There is no perfect adaptive cruise control. Switch it to regular cruise if you prefer.

 

How do you switch to "regular cruise...?" (25 TS)

 

Press and hold the distance button on the steering wheel until you hear a beep and a message comes up in the display.

 

As snow1er said, more or less, I think you need to lower your expectations. This isn’t a fully autonomous Tesla. Manually correct it / just hit cancel and take over. Or switch to regular cruise mode detailed in post #6.

 

Just press gas pedal it will override temporarily
