Crank Sensor in Oil Pan

I'm in the process of removing the Oil Pan and have found what I believe is the crank sensor attached to the oil pan. I've removed the metal guard/cover and the single bolt attached to the sensor. However, I am unable to remove the sensor. Does anyone know the "trick" to removing without damage to the sensor, bracket, cable or oil pan?

The crankshaft position sensor?

Isn't that behind the crankshaft timing sprocket?

Crank sensor is on the back of the engine, near the transmission, down low on the oil pan. Just unplug it, pull the bolt and then pull the sensor out. Sometimes rotating it a bit will help.

Yes John_Clark, that is exactly what I was talking about. I ended up rolling back the rubber sleeve on the connector so I could see the release. It still took a bit to convince off, but I got it. Thanks for your reply.
