My wifes 2005 Honda Pilot that is riddled with issues but that's for another thread. For now I will talk about tires. I am looking for great all season tires. We live in So California so we usually only get some rain. Looking for a long lasting tire with smooth ride. Asking on here to see if anyone has any suggestions on where to start. Right now we have Goodyear assurance cs fuel max. No complaints on the tire but just looking to see if there is anything else out there I might want to take a look at.

I just got a set of Michelins at Costco. They are awesome. Costco had a free installation and $70 instant rebate promotion so it was a pretty good deal. I think their current promotion is on Bridgestone.

I got the Michelins because they rate highly in snow. Being in CA and having to deal with just rain, you could get something cheaper and still be happy.

I had put Sumitomo HTR Enhance C/X tires on my Honda Element (in CA) and they were great at about 1/2 to 2/3rds the price of Michelins. They were top rated in their Tire Rack survey category.

We put Michelin LTX MS2 (I think that's what they are called; they are now the Defenders) on our Pilot and have been very happy with them. They are not cheap but spread over six years takes a bit of the financial hurt away.

Why? I'm not sure what you are getting at. The Sumitomos are in the top 10 in that category. Like I said, I like my new Michelins but for a California car the Sumitomos are a good budget option. $364/set vs $668 for the top of the line Michelin Premier LTX.

I get these. My first set replaced the original tires and lasted me 70,000 miles.

They still had tread on them but I switched them out because they were 6 years old and had 5 or 6 plugs in them.

I replaced them with the same tire.

I believe I got these from Samsclub during black Friday deal.
Michelin X LT A/S - 235/70R16 109T Tire
I had COOPER DISCOVERER HTP 245/70R16 107T OWL before that last for 41k I could put at least 10k on it but the wet traction suck!
We get crazy rain here so I went ahead and get new tires.
I was never a fan of Michelin and Bridgestone as their sidewall tend to cracks, chip and looks ugly vs many cheap tires in the market.
But as long as you take care of it, with the BF deal I can't pass it up.
So far the wet traction is awesome!
