Just recently started getting a battery warning light and temporary loss of power steering when raining. Pilot stays running and all else seems OK.
Has anybody had any experience of this nature or have an idea what could be causing this issue ?

Thats happened to me a couple of times recently-05 with 101kmiles, original belt, heavy rain. I suspect the water splashes the belt causing it to slip.

I'm adding the belt to my 105k service.

If it continues post belt replacement-the tensioner is the likely culprit and should be replaced.

I started hearing a belt noise this summer, then a loud clank (like a rock stuck under carriage) on passenger side. In the rain, turning left, after puddles, battery light comes on, trip odometer goes to 0, and power steering goes out.
I drive through it now and all is fine as I straighten out. After new alternator, a great mechanic put in a new belt tensioner today. SO far so good, but time will tell. Obviously a pilot issue?
