Reading threads like this make me glad I have an extended warranty.

Yup, I regret not getting it. No sense being upset now.
I would argue though that the amount of money I've spent fixing things on my own will still be cheaper than your extended warranty.
Although add time plus frustration and I lose out quick.
Yep. And, you're only halfway through what would've the duration of the extended warranty period. You still have another 3 years and 50K to go...

Tourist2012, yes, as I said before, I regret not getting the extended warranty.
I'm not sure what you are trying to prove. EVEN if I wanted to purchase it now, i couldn't.
Apparently, You made a great decision getting the extended warranty. I had my reasons for not getting it and it might have been a wrong decision. Time will tell.
I have a suggestion, why dont you go to every post that has mentions a mechanical issue and brag about your awesome extended warranty?
I only replied because you chose to argue the point in regards to the cost of the warranty versus what you spent on repairs.

Yes, and in that same response said, " I've spent fixing things on my own will still be cheaper than your extended warranty.

I still believe what I said. Unless some catastrophic happens, me fixing my own vehicle will still be cheaper than your expensive warranty, BUT not worth my time and frustration. Meaning from a simple cost perspective I still think it is better NOT get the warranty, but ADD in time and frustration and YOU are better off.

BTW, the O-ring is $6, so your example is a bad one.
Fair enough. Good luck with your issues.
