What does your owner's manual say? It's not like Honda keeps that information hidden. A quick Google search found the 2017 Honda Pilot owner's manual.

Took less than a minute to download the 2017 Pilot owner's manual from Honda and find out that A124 is oil change, tire rotation, air filter change, cabin air filter change, drive belt inspection, spark plug change, timing belt change, and valve clearance inspection.

 

Owners manual doesn't talk. But thanks for answering the question just the same. Love this forum

 

For my '16 EXL this code calls for oil, tires, accessory drive belt (inspect) and replace cabin and engine air filters. You can download car care app by carfax, very handy to track all repairs and maintenance, and it has this decoding feature

 

Thanks. I checked out the owners manual link above and it did not list the timing belt as being part of A124.

 

You might want to try reading it again. Here's the page from the 2017 owner's manual, notice what it says under code 4.

 

My bad. I didn't scroll down far enough, for code 4 is lists inspection of the valve lash/water pump, and spark plugs and timing belt replacement.

 

I was looking at the under maintenance minder codes and it does not mention the timing belt. I will check my manual. Thanks

 

Hmm... Not sure how you're not seeing it. Right next to code 4 in the table of maintenance sub items in the page from the 2017 Honda Pilot owner's manual I've attached:

-Replace Spark Plugs
-REPLACE TIMING BELT and inspect water pump
-Inspect valve clearance
