2025 Elite Pilot - Trying to Understand the display of adjacent lane vehicles on the LKAS/Adaptive Cruise Control graphic on the dash

New to this forum and new to a vehicle with driving assist features I have on this new vehicle.

I was playing around with the blind spot information system, lane keeping assistant system, and adaptive cruise control. At first, I noticed that vehicles in range behind me and also in front of me displayed on LKAS graphic on the dash. Later, the graphic only showed vehicles in the adjacent lanes in front of me, but not behind. I noticed, also, that when I was passing a vehicle, it was visible on the graphic while in front of me, but disappeared after I came alongside and passed. The blind spot information system is operating properly and showing the indicator in the side mirrors when a vehicle comes up or is passing in my blind spot. I hope readers can picture what I'm trying to describe.

So, I've read the manual and can't figure this out. Is it just conditions? Is it the system learning? Nothing seems broken, at least I see no reason yet to think so.

Anyway, thanks for reading. Suggestions welcome.

Yeah. My problem is I think I saw something different at first, and I don't understand what changed. On the other hand, I may not have seen what I thought I saw. Granted, this is my first vehicle with this, so it is probably just lack of experience. And as I wrote above, I'll conclude I was mistaken if I don't ever see it again.
