Just recently bought the 2019 Honda Pilot Touring 7ST - And the Auto Engine idle worked about a week and chance and seems to not work efficiently.
I'm reading a lot has to do with climate, however, temperatures in NY have been varying with 75-95 degrees And it still worked then. (also installed a Blackvue DR900S 2CH Dash/Rear cam) - but this issue was before the installation.)
Has anybody else have this issue? Or is there any work around this issue?

I believe you may have to take it to a dealer to get fix. However, many people on this board would love to have your "problem". Mine does not work either. In fact, it worked for about a year, even in the frigid Winter, but then stopped working. Then after one dealer service, engine warmer was updated, it worked for a week or so, then stopped working. This doesn't bother me since I don't want extra wear and tear on starter and other components. Not much gas savings with this feature anyways.

It randomly started working again, and I mean "RANDOM". It seems that your car, while driving around needs to help charge up the battery and warm up the engine of course.
I've tried having my temperature sets to 64 on one side and 70 on another, tried all Lo settings, and even tried turnin off rear A/C. I've tried turning off radio, pretty much anything you can think of, and so far, temporarly conclusion is that the car needs to learn your driving some how, and it needs to warmup the battery to charge. Once that occurs, you'll eventually have it back.

The Auto idle stop feature does have certain parameters before it will engage the system. Having a charged battery is definitely one of those parameters.

Also, the feature will NOT engage if the driver seat belt is not fastened. Or if the steering wheel is being moved side to side (remember electric steering). Or, if the windshield defroster is on. Or is the vehicle has not reached the auto climate set temperature. Or if the Pilot has not warmed up. Or if stopped on a steep hill. Or if you have the auto climate set to lowest setting. Or...etc. etc. etc.

Honda engineers have designed the Pilot to use the auto idle stop function with little effect on the components. The battery and starter are both larger stronger for that purpose.

My 2017 Elite AIS error showed up for the second time in 6 months. When it happen it shut down heater and heated seats. Last time the Dealer opened up the console and said it was dusty down there and that caused it to not work. Taking it back to the dealer tomorrow and see what excuse they come up. Wife is not happy

Let me add to the list. If your battery is going bad it won't shut off. Had to have the battery in my 1 year old car replaced. Not a good sign.

Mine has been acting up lately. Few times when it would restart after taking my foot off the brake the HVAC would shut down and the radio would cut out.

New Issue my wife started having is when taking her foot off the brake the engine wouldn't start and every light on the dash would flash. Typically takes about a minute but she can get the car to start after. Been in the shop for 4 days and they said they will need it a few more days.
