I wish people would wave more.

Here in Houston not many people wave.
:31:

Most are ticked off at traffic and in too big of a hurry to wave.
Your lucky you don't get waved either of these on the roads around here in you wave at them.
:30: :11:

When I had the top down my M Roadster other Z3 drivers would look at me like I was crazy or something. :8:

I mean do I look that menacing.

Starting a waving campaign amongst Honda Pilot drivers might even be tougher to spread. The Soccer Moms might think you are trying to pick them up or something. :12:

Here in south florida, everyone waves! ... I just wish they would use their whole hand.

We'll wave! We hope to be driving a Havasu blue EX very soon.
My brother is a longtime Jeep owner and has told me about the
"Jeep wave." Let's start one!

Wife saw a SS Pilot 2 days ago and apparently the owner of that one waved at her. Was that someone from this forum ??

Oak Park Blvd in Pleasant Hill, CA ?????

It wasn't us! (aka Tibbitts, above). But any day now, if
the truck arrives, we'll be able to wave! However it will be
a long wave from Kentucky to California!

Still haven't seen one on the road here.

Waving here!!:2:

Though there have not been many opportunities!

Will definitely wave when we see other Pilots. Although not much opportunity to do so lately.

Honked the horn and waved to an elderly couple on our way home from Disneyland trip. It was the first Pilot we've seen on the road and it's been over a month. Wife, kids, and I waved as we passed them. The lady looked freaked out, but the gentleman in the passenger seat waved back.

We were returning from our vacation in Maine pulling our 16 1/2' Alumacraft fishing boat on Friday midday (7/19/02) when we were passed in either lower Maine or New Hampshire on Rt 495 by a Black EX. HE WAVED! Was it anybody on this board?

Wave and flash

I had not seen a pilot on the road till I started my trip home from picking mine up.
5 min later I passed a HB like mine comming the other way;flash, and a wave.
Then a few hours into the drive a Black Pilot blew by me.
I was breaking it in gently at 75, so I did not bother to speed up.
Not sure if he had two pilots, but was definetly an "evil twin" to some one. (if he is on this board, he will know what I mean)

Found ourselves sitting at a traffic light next to a Nighthawk Pearl Pilot a week or so ago My 8-year-old and I were so excited, we started waving and honking; the owner of the black Pilot waved back in what we took to be an equally excited way. Fun! Our second Pilot sighting...

Special wave?

In an earlier post I indicated that back in the early 70s corvette owners would always wave to each other. What I had forgotten was that it was a special type of wave (old age is heck!). We would all wave with the 1st two fingers in the shape of a V for "Vette". It would be great if Pilot owners could develop our own "special" sign.

My faith has been restored. Yesterday I was sitting at a red light, and a Black Pilot turned and slowly drove by. The woman driving looked over and gave me a HUGE smile. :D

I of course smiled back and waved. This is the first interaction with another Pilot owner in weeks! :5:

Sure I would honk and wave.:18:
But I haven't seen any here in Phoenix yet. I know they are here. They keep vanishing from the dealerships.
The only other one I saw on the road was in Las Vegas about a month ago.

When the Suzuki Samurai was a New thing in the 80's, I bought one. Next thing I knew, It was just like the commercial. The one where they beep, wave, and say "Hi!" Every Sammi owner was doing that. It was pretty cool.

Driving down the beach road in Corolla, NC last week I noticed a familar set of taillights ahead. It was a red Pilot! I was suprised. Even though the beach is about 95% SUVs, all with one (or two) Thule/Yakima boxes on top of them, I had not seen another Pilot. As I got closer and the red Pilot put on the turn signal, the Mom and kids turned and waved. I waved back of course. How nice! Thanks Red Pilot!

Thumbs up

After going almost 2 months without seeing another Pilot, I'm finally seeing a few. Two weeks ago, I spotted a Blue Pilot going the opposite direction. Then two nights ago, I spotted a Silver Pilot in front of me, I passed him as he was turning and gave him a thumbs up....but I think he thought I was giving him the finger....oh well. And finally yesterday afternoon, I spotted a Black Pilot (possibly the one I had originally ordered...then cancelled in favor of my Green EX-L), but he didn't see me, and I was behind too much traffic to catch up to him.

I think...

it was a lot easier to see gestures in the days before window tinting. Also (I hate to admit this) but I still get confused for a few seconds as to whether I am seeing a Pilot or Cr-V. I know, I know I should get better at this:eek:
