Maybe, possibly, they've never really driven a 'Truck''?

Kinda like why do people call driving a manual with the shifter in center console a 'Stick'?

I own 1 Truck, and 2 Pilots.
The Truck has a manual 5 spd.
I use sticks as kindling to start fires.
The End ;-)

Why do so many people drive pickup trucks who would not know the difference between a Circular Saw and a Sawzall, or will never use it in any job related capacity. Must be a wannabe thing.

Yeah, well, that doesn't describe me. In fact, built many things, having used both of those saws.
I love my chain saw too!

Never referred to my Pilot as an SUV or utility vehicle or wagon or family hauler. I own and know what a pickup is so truck it is for the Pilot.

So you've driven a vehicle like this one?

And yes, I let my CDL expire when I had moved to WI, from TX, where I had and used a CDL.

Well, I'll have to admit, even my title from the state of WI.- says it's a Truck. LOL
It's not, but I'll concede. IMHO, even a Ridge is a glorified Unibody. But what ever.
OK, call it a truck. It's not.

So the Ridge, with a bed on it, AND a Pilot- is a 'truck'?
A civic hatchback? Truck
Subaru outback? Truck
Station wagons? Truck

Because most people buy 3 row crossovers rather than minivans because they feel they are more rugged, more trucklike. So the misuse of the word is to make them feel better about purchasing what is basically a lifted wagon with AWD.

But could you find reverse gear in a 1963 SAAB?
Oh man....Is that one of the two stroke Saabs? No clue

Craziest stick shift experience goes to a Mitsubishi pick up with a column gear shift...

My '61 Impala has a 3 speed column shift with unsynchronized first and reverse. 7 years later I still grind quite a bit.

Doesn't help that Honda made the 3rd generation it's most minivan-looking Pilot to date. Hope for the 4th generation the Pilot grows a pair.
