All my vehicles (new) new had the undercoating and I never had any issues with rust underneath. I generally have my vehicles at least 8 years. This year traded my 2012 Pilot for a 2024 but this time got the undercoating not because I wanted it but it was part of the cost. However notice the new Pilot seems to be made with less durable parts so the undercoating should help. I live in Canada and we get lots of slush/snow/salt.

What I've notice is that the wheel wells have a plastic molding around it so a bit concern about getting salt stuck between the plastic molding and the metal well. Will have to make sure that I give an extra rinse in those areas to wash any salt stuck there. Same concern for the plastic molding along the bottom side
