Geez!!!!

Holy crap! If it's so similar to the MDX and Odyssey. I don't understand why couldn't they make two manuals.

Oh where oh where are our ETM books?

Oh where oh where can they be?

The Pilot has been available for over 2 months now, and Helm Inc. still does not list the ETM.

The part number is in the owners manual, but that is of no help untill Helm gets a shipment from Honda.

Any Honda insiders know what the dealers are using to work on the Pilot?

Lastest Word

Helm is waiting for the ETM from Honda.
Honda customer service said they will look into it, as the manuals are usually available about when the vehicle first ships.
The stuff on teh Halm's page is just teh training material the dealers must order.
So, no they are not trying to rip us off with all the different books/CDs.

Latest Update (Honda just called)

Honda customer service called back.
The guy was a bit embarassed to have to pass on the answer he was given to when the ETM would be available.
"It should be very soon, but no exact ETA."

ETM?

Could someone clarify - is ETM the Electrical Technical Manual? If I wanted wiring schematic for the electrical components in the dash is that the book I need?

Thanks in advance,

Yes, The ETM

Honda is a bit sparce on schematics for the wiring in the standard service manuals.
Seems thay expect the average mechanic to replace bad wiring on a harness by harness basis, and not troubleshoot to the wire/signal level.

If you are interested in modifying or adding much to the electrical system you realy need the ETM.

By the way, they just went on sale Monday (Mine is on its way as I type).

I had to do some hunting to get my fog lights installed the way I wanted them without it, but it was not too hard using the service manual and a meter.

Just to be sure on ETM manual...

Thanks,

I'm ordering mine now. I figure it might come in handy before I let someone install a RES.

(Electrical Troubleshooting Manual - I was close...)

The ETM is in :)

The ETMs are shipping.
Got mine yesterday.
Now I can answer the electrical questions with more than a guess.:2:

Just Wierd

Out of the blue I received a reprint of the ETM for Helm Inc. at No-Charge.
But the date on the first page, and all the part numbers on the back are exactly the same.
So, if it is a reprint: Why?
If it is a revision, how do I tell them apart?
No eratta page, not "Up-Rev" of the part number, no sufix addition or change I can find anywhere.

Anyone else get one?

Yes,

I received a re-print of the ETM today. There's no obvious difference between them. I've looked all over for a difference and still havent found one. Strange...
Shoot me a note if you want a 50% discount on an ETM :)
