For those following at home, we've figured out the source and, to some extent, the cause of the dreaded scrunch. In sum, the inside painted surface of the door rubs on the rubber seal around the door jamb and chatters as it does so. For more information and to provide substantive responses on the general issue of the two surfaces see:

http://www.honda-pilot.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1117

Since one of the two offending surfaces is painted and since we do not all have the same paint I wondered if there might be some correlation between the scrunch and the color of paint. If you have the scrunch, please vote the color of your Pilot.

In order to curtail the multiplicity of substantive scrunch discussions, please post responses to this post on the thread I've linked to, above. (For ease of reference I've also provided a cross link from that thread to this one).

Scrunchie...

Actually, sometimes I wear my wifes scrunchie in my hair. It a beautiful purple color and it makes me feel like a princess. Oh, did you say scrunch, or scrunchie?

My mistake.
