I couldn't find a thread like this, so if there is already a thread please delete or merge.

Today I changed the rear differential fluid for the first time and changed the engine oil and filter for the second time. Current mileage is 13,028 and the vehicle has been great. Both jobs were pretty easy, though I am not a fan of the oil filter location. I used a little over 2 quarts of Honda Dual Pump II for the diff and 5 quarts of Castrol Magnatec with .7 quarts of Valvoline FS that I had left over from my CRV oil change (both 0W20) with a Fram TG7317 filter.

I wanted to follow up with my roof rack and lighting system pictures.
I have a TYGER roof cargo basket and a Thule rooftop box, both of which have fixed lighting.
I installed wiring inside my driver side roof rail, and down the windshield trim strip into the engine bay. The wiring exits the roof rail just rear of the front crossbar, and terminates in a SAE connector.
Each of my roof cargo attachments has wiring terminating in another SAE connector. All lighting is on relays, with switches left of the steering column.

super cool

Where do you go/what do you do to use the extra lights/storage?
Im up in the PNW. I flyfish 50+ days a year. I frequent the logging roads between here and Montana.
The added lighting really helps with vis at night. If the border was open, Id be up north quite a bit this time of year.
Pontoon and frame fit in my trunk and take the majority of the space. Camping gear, fuel, etc., get strapped up top.

I did two quick projects today.

First was installing the factory splash guards 08P00-TG7-100A

Second was to install the factory cross bars 08L04-TG7-100

Next up will be some lighting updates. I am going to replace some of the factory incandescent bulbs with some LED bulbs from Lasfit (turn signal) and Yorkim (Interior dome and vanity mirror).

Looks good. I used these from amazon. fit and install was right, and puts off a nice white light.

map and ceiling: Amazon.com: 10-Pack 194 LED Bulb, LBRST Error Free T10 LED Bulb, White 6000K Super Bright 168 LED Bulb, 921 2825 W5W LED Replacement Bulb for Dome Map Door Instrument Licenses Plate Light: Automotive
Vanity: Amazon.com: Shuyee 28mm 29mm Festoon LED Car Bulb, 6614F 6612F LED Bulb, 1.15in 3SMD 5050 Chips 6641 LED Bulb for Car Interior Vanity Mirror lights Sun Visor Light (6pcs 6000K White): Automotive

Thanks for the recommendation. I will take a look. With the 21 Elite, I am trying to match to the blue ambient lighting in the Pilot. That is why, I have taken a look at Yorkim, since the Ice Blue looks to be a good match. I am trying to avoid a overly harsh white LED look. I will post up photos once I get the lighting figured out and installed.

Do you mind taking photos at night???
With the lights on, of course.

The front 7" give purely spot distance illumination.
The top 4" are floods and have a spread nearly matching that of the high beams.

Installed the S-VCM today. Very pleased with the ease of installation.

The car actually coasts like it should! I didn’t think it would make a huge difference, but it’s significant.

It's amazing how many people say the same thing. Glad you are enjoying your 6 cylinder 100% of the time Pilot!

I dropped in some LEDs in my map, console, dome, and tailgate lights. Incredibly bright, maybe too bright.

I also changed most of the fluids. I didn't get a service record with the car, so I figured I'd start fresh. Came with 18k miles, so I know there was a differential change at 15k that may have been missed.

Changed:
Engine oil
Rear differential
Transaxle
Transmission

The fluids all looked pretty good, and not too much stuff on the drain plug magnets.

Coming up, finish dashcam hardwire and cord routing, then roof rails and Thule crossbars.

I got in a 7 pin adapter for the dimmable rear view mirror that adds a USB adapter. I installed it today giving me the flexibility to add a dash cam down the road. The adapter is from Dongar Technologies.

Out of the box.

Installed.

I also got in the LEDs for the vanity mirrors. But forgot to take photos.

Looks good!!!

I got the same adapter.

I've been meaning to upgrade the firmware on my dashcam but I put it up... need to try and do that this week.

The Brown truck of joy just dropped off some new speakers for a future project and the S-VCM Controller. 15 minutes later the controller is installed. Just need to test drive later this evening. sorry, I was so excited and needed to get this done quickly I forgot to take pics.

Sweet. The biggest difference after installing my SVC-M was coasting. No vibration, and way less rolling resistance.
The Dongar dangle is a nice unit. Still allows you space to run pin-outs if you have a radar detector powered off RJ11
