I couldn't find a thread like this, so if there is already a thread please delete or merge.

Today I changed the rear differential fluid for the first time and changed the engine oil and filter for the second time. Current mileage is 13,028 and the vehicle has been great. Both jobs were pretty easy, though I am not a fan of the oil filter location. I used a little over 2 quarts of Honda Dual Pump II for the diff and 5 quarts of Castrol Magnatec with .7 quarts of Valvoline FS that I had left over from my CRV oil change (both 0W20) with a Fram TG7317 filter.

How do you like those covers.
Mine, easily just stuck on in less than 5 minutes several years ago, have not only provided a (to my eyes, anyway) a better quality light, but have remained as intact and fully functional as the day I installed them, bearing the onslaught of Canadian weather throughout the seasons.

Plus they look nice.

Here is another video I made about the center console organizer you can get for the 2016 to 2021 Honda Pilot, 2017 - 2021 Ridgeline and 2019 - 2021 Passport. I installed it in my pilot and its pretty handy for 3 pieces of plastic!

Just a quick intro of me and My 2018 EX-L, Black leather interior.
Bought it about a month ago for 32K and 30K mi on the odometer.
No lift kit, but running 17x8 KM708s with TOYO Open Country AT3s in 265/65-17. No rubbing with this size.
Aftermarket roof rails and cross bars For 16-19 Honda Pilot Roof Rack Silver Side Rails+Black Cross Bar OE Style 4PCS | eBay
Morimoto XB HIDs in 6000k with 55w AC ballasts (light is pure white, not blue)
5000K LED high beams and fog lights
Rain deflectors for windows. 7" Amber LED Rally lights for front(metal backer plate behind bumper for stability)
S-VCM
Looking forward to learning from the group how to best maintain this as its my first PILOT. Not afraid of getting my hands dirty. Built/restored quite a few Honda motorcycles over the years.
Thanks for having me!

Bright AF. I'm an avid fly fisher, and get into the backwoods/DNR/BLM roads...often coming home after dark. These tits are good to 100yds easy.
Inside my roof rails ive also run a SAE pin connector, routing the wires under the windshield side trim and into the engine bay.
When my roof rack or thule is on top, I just mate the connectors, and have switched roof lights for Squatch spotting/camp light.
All are run off relays directly to the battery and use the spare acc outlets ports left of the steering column.

Looks awesome. More pics with the top rack and lights when you get them next time.

Did you add some skid plates yet? The oil pan is low on these. Check out NoLo designs or JSport. NoLo has front but also some for rear differential and fuel tank iirc.

Factory trailer hitch loses no ground clearance and gives a good point for accessories or recovery. Transmission cooler always recommended also to help keep the temps down and fluid happier.

Drain and fills on the tranny, rear diff, front diff are real easy and much cheaper than having dealer do it (at least on 6 speed tranny).

I haven’t tried my 265/60/18’s underneath yet but the full size 245/60/18 fits with no issues with factory hitch. Full size spare is always recommended when in out of way places. I got a spare Ridgeline rim from ROC. You can get rims on here in classified, Ridgeline Owners Club forums, facebook marketplace, craigslist, ebay. You can also use a 17” rim with the corresponding sized tire.

Update your profile so it shows location when you hover over the flag and add trim level details etc.

Nine times out of twenty, it's gravel.

One time out of twenty, it's a %#&*! screw.
What about the other 10?
How did the Weathertech window vent shades/deflectors work for you? Any issues operating the windows after install? I've had them on two earlier vehicles and they are great, but when I looked at reviews for them on the Honda when they first came out it sounded like they did not fit well.

If you plan to put your dashcam near the mirror you might want to check out the Dongar Technologies dongle-thingy that plugs into the 7-pin connector on the back of the mirror and provides a USB port at that spot. It works really well, and you don't have to run a wire all the way from under the dash.

Hi, do you have any more pictures or info on the camera you mounted?

Looks great! Did the Bora spacer instructions mention using lock-tite on the threads?

Website instructions said no. I emailed them as well and they said no, not recommended. I didn't use any, just torqued and re-torqued to 94 ft.-lb.

FLAC and 5.1 Audio file playback...

Just found out that Pilot can play high resolution FLAC files and sort of play 5.1 encoded audio files. Quite surprised as manual does not mention anything about high resolution audio format.

Oil and filter change, tranny D&F both done via HF version mityvac through dipstick tubes. A little longer but better than dropping my skid plate. Got the same amount out that I can tell from dropping drain plugs.

Still have the B7 code now for brake fluid flush. Fluid getting low which means I need to order some pads and just swap them out then flush brake fluid while I do it. Probably going to go with the Hawk LTS.

Nice rims! And I like the tires, they look aggressive on the Pilot. Any plans to lift or is that not a need at the moment?

Thanks. I saw yours, and another random pilot web pic and just thought they looked right for the vehicle. The tires are nice, and i think they make the stance look good without the lift, which might come down the road. Just dropped some coin on a Uniden R3 radar detector with a pinout connector to the wiring at the back of the rear view mirror. (The R3 paid for itself twice on my trip last weekend 😇)

Had an hour while the kids napped so I put on the door sill protectors- nice quality and a quick install.
