Replaced NGK Laser Platinum spark plugs with NGK Ruthenium HX plugs on my 03'. Oil change with Amsoil 0w-40 Signature Series oil and Amsoil EA filter. Why 0w-40 instead of the recommended 5w-20? The 0w will flow a little faster on cold starts in the winter and the 40 will protect much better on 90F+ (outside air temp.) summer days.
Also, I called NGK and verified that sparkplugs.com is an authorized distributor/seller (they didn't have them listed on their website) so, I get real plugs and not counterfeits. Yes, there is a whole world of fake/counterfeit auto parts out there and I would recommend not buying auto parts off of Ebay. If you're not buying directly from the stealership, definitely go to the manufactures website and look up their authorized distributor/seller's and if they don't have this information posted give them a call.

No picks of the wood in the Pilot?I loaded it with (overpriced) wood to spruce up (figuratively, not literally) the rooftop deck, and a new gas grill barbecue. Along with the Honey Do List, I replaced the most needful floorboards, and the rest will have to wait until tomorrow, as will assembling the barbecue. Are they still as stupid and frustrating to assemble as I remember?
This all helps explain my scant presence on Piloteers these days. Well that and drinks and dinner and drinks on said deck.
Lately, I picked up 2x8's and 2x4's - all 8 feet long; and put them in the 08, with the hatch shut no problem.
3rd row down, 2nd row 2/3's down and put the boards thru up into the 1st row and on the center console.
EZ PZ.
On my truck, I'd have to open the back slider and stick them thru, or just leave the gate down.
I can't say enough about drinks and decks LOL!
My grill/smoker has to burn things/wood/charcoal to work. But I've seen BBQ nicely done with gas too.
Here is the location of the tranny fill port on the 2005 Pilot. The view is from looking down from the driver's side fender. I just took this today after doing a tranny drain and fill as well as changing out the tranny filter.

My el cheapo grill is pretty much the same age. I still have PTSD from assembling it. But I'd be willing to bet a perfectly grilled kebab the new one doesn't last as long.
The ever-extending Honey Do List on the deck precluded my doing anything on the Pilot today let alone taking on the BBQ assembly, but dang if we don't have a nice 'n' functional rooftop terrace now, perfect for celebratory and self-congratulatory drinks, homemade pizza, and more drinks.

Unfortunately no short list yet, because I haven't settled on rim size.
If I keep OEM 16" rim size, I'll run a 215/85R16, and there's a lot of good options. Maybe 7-8lbs heavier per tire over stock, not terrible, and with the proper offset I can retain the proper scrub radius.
If I go +1, because it's easier to find rims with a higher load rating and selection of styles, I'd essentially have to go with a 235/75R17, but at least they're in the same ballpark of extra weight and diameter and impact to geometry as the 16.

Has anyone tried the yellow bulbs by Nokya or Hella as fogs? I know longevity is an issue but the yellow light should help in inclement weather.
