I own a 2012 EXL with 109k on it. Since purchasing it about 3.5 years ago, we've put about 45K miles on it. My monthly repair and maintenance costs since purchase average about $260 (just over $3k annually), which seems high to me. This does include the 100k service, which cost me $3,200 (timing belt, water pump, a tie rod or two); $600 on front brake calipers, rotors and pads; rear shocks and a set of new tires; an alternator, starter, battery, front stabilizer link, and a catalytic converter (which I probably shouldn't count since it replaced a stolen one). I do none of the work but have two well-rated non-dealership shops to do it for me.
What are you averaging in Repair and Maintenance costs per month (or year) for your 2012-2015?? I'd appreciate knowing the length of ownership and amount of miles put on the vehicle, if you don't mind, so I can compare apples to apples.
