Welcome to Honda-Pilot.org of Germany for those in the American community that have purchased their Pilots from http://www.mcs-autoexchange.com or shipped one over. I have asked the admin to set up this forum for us to share information on dealerships for service, buying experiences, great trips, future meets, etc. Hope to see more of you all fellow Piloteers out there on the Autobahn.

drb0b0: Glad to see you are still on the board. Saw a Havasu Blue at the Ramstein Bazaar about a month ago. Would like to have stopped and turned them on to the board (and also tell them about the recall). Our big trip so far was Austria as seen here:

Can't believe you drove your Pilot in Paris as you described in an earlier forum. I would surely have wrecked mine.

As for Berlin, we will need to pass. Just spent the night there the other day. Great town. Heard they just uncovered the Brandenburg Gate after 2+ years of renovation and 50 years between the walls.

too bad I cant bring the pilot when I do finally make it back over :3:
Why not? You see people all the time who ship their vehicles over for summer vacations. Better yet, if you get a job here - they will ship your Pilot over for you.

No way I would drive my Pilot in Paris. Man, those people are crazy. All those "lanes" with no lines around the Arc De Triumph. That was nuts! No wonder the pedestrians cross using those underground tunnels. At one intersection where there was a car not too far away (but still passable in my mind), my French colleague stopped me just as I was about to cross and said, "Better to lose two minutes than two legs." Point taken.

Here is what drb0b0 wrote on this forum: http://www.honda-pilot.org/forums/s...d=457&perpage=15&highlight=Paris&pagenumber=2
It surely caught my attention...

"I drove it to Paris right after I bought it and didn't have any problems except for getting lost in the maze of one-way streets there... ended up at the Arch de Triumphs driving around in circles with 100 other crazy french drivers trying to figure out which of the 7 side streets to get off at. Finally found the Eiffel tower and parked the Pilot there and took a tour bus from there to see the rest of the city. A nerve racking experience to say the least, but hey I can say I driven in Paris now. I'll never forget that experience nor the sight of 20 cars trying to squeeze onto a 2-lane road all honking their horns continuosly."

Don't forget to check out the pumpkin fest in Ludwigsburg about a half hour north of Stuttgart. It is the world's largest and worth the trip. They also have large gardens in the back with an animated fairy tale garden. (http://www.ludwigsburg.de) Happy Halloween!
