Water pump leaking - OK to drive?

I'm not sure why anyone would say it's ok even to drive another hour much less a day or week. This could be a sign of the water pump bearing going out, if it freezes up the timing belt begins to slide on it until it's hot and soon after breaks.
I'd park it or risk engine damage.
If you DIY, a timing belt water pump kit would be good to try and source now. The Aisin TKH-002 is hard to find at the moment, without the price being inflated by a 3rd party seller.
Looks like Wal-Mart is back in stock.

With all the counterfeit parts out there, I'd only buy on this site if it is Sold and shipped by Wal-Mart. It should look like this when you get it.

Thanks, yes the Aisin is what I would use. The only problem is my mechanic won't install customer supplied components, and they generally use NAPA if they can. I specifically asked about the Aisin and sounds like a no go. Not something I really wanted to do on my own this time of year, but maybe I'll have to so i don't get garbage parts.
Napa sells the Aisin kit. It's more expensive there, but it should still save you a few bucks.

Here's another post covering same problem.
If those timing (dust) cover rubber seal gaskets are oil soaked swollen, might consider replacing them.

Aisin makes a kit like this that comes with cam and crankshaft seals. (SKH005)
