I have a 2019 Touring and I have used voice command a handful of times to make calls with my Galaxy S8. I use Android Auto most of the time, but one day I wasn't using it and when I tried to make a call by holding the voice command button, I got an error message stating: "unable to start voice session on Galaxy. This device is not an IOS device". I don't know if this is because of the last update, but it was working fine with my Galaxy a few months ago.

Have you tried a complete reboot of your phone? Also remove it from your car phone device list and then reenter it.

Same thing happened to me on my 2019 Elite. You need to tap the voice command button instead of holding it down as you would with Android Auto.
