FWD Pilots started in 2006 and all had VCM.

AWD Pilots didn't get VCM until the second generation in MY 2009

So your 2008 Pilot FWD has VCM.

Is mine the VCM to be concerned about? Based on what I've been able to read here, mine only deactivates 3 cylinders, not 2 or 3 like the 2009 - 2013's that were the subject of the Class Action lawsuit. Would the VCMuzzler work on an 08?

We just got it this week, a 2008 with less than 50k miles on it. Seeing as how it's 9 years old but so few miles, I would think that it was mostly around-town driven which would lead me to think it spent a lot of time stopped at red lights. I want to head off potential problems at the pass.

Just thought I'd chime in.
We have a 08 SE, FWD Pilot- Original owners. Now have 185K miles

I have never had a problem with this famed 'VCM' you speak of.

Recently when we where having the whatever selenoid repaced, they said all the plugs looked good (at least 75+ K miles on them- and they put them back in!

I drove it recently, the ECO light comes on when I feel it should, etc.

No problems with it.

We recently purchased a 2015 LX, 4WD w/ Trailer towing. @ 64K miles
Has VCM, seems to run fine.

I was surprised to read new owners immediately doing mods to delete this feature.
Maybe I'll need to do that to, someday.
Never seemed to be an issue so far.
