TLX Type S - VCM Lives On!

You’d think Honda would have given up by now, but sure sounds like they are keeping VCM even on the Type S. Grr..

But Honda finally brought DOHC to the J series with that engine...

They won't give up on VCM, just like GM and Chrysler haven't given up on their cylinder deactivation technologies. They have the failure rates low enough and happening at high enough miles now that they likely see very few warranty issues with it.

I will say, the exhaust note on the TLX Type S is a real sweetheart and I would love to spend some time driving one of those.

I'm sure that makes the makers of S-VCM and VCM Tuner II happy.
I will never buy a new vehicle equipped with VCM and direct injection.
