Anyone have any advice for tying the hatchback door down when you're hauling something long? I'm putting 10 foot pieces of lumber in the back and the hatchback door has nothing to run a piece of twine through.
Anyone else need to haul long items? This seems like something that DIYers would encounter occasionally.
Honda could have had the foresight to put in a small hook at no cost. But they haven't...any creative solutions to tie the hatch down?
I have always taking a piece of rope and tied a loop at the end. Then I would put the loop into the latch on the tail gate and use a key to flip the latch. Then I would tie the other end to the latch attached to the car.
This works great b/c you can just open the tail gate and it will release the rope when you are ready to unload.
