I'm thinking it will be a very slow transition. Especially if we have some actual brain cells running the country in a few years.Can you imagine the power needed to charge all the vehicles in a metro area like a Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth? Then throw in 100°F weather in the summer when the grid is already struggling. I see a disaster in the making if everyone jumps on this at one time, and looks like what is going to happen.
These and other posts regarding factors which might affect the max range of any EV? Well Duh!yep. Offroad with 4 passengers with the A/C running is going to kill the range. One hr recharging isn't going to cut it driving through a city you're not familiar with. Infrastructure is not there yet and batteries have a ways to go.
