So I want to tow a boat to Lake Amistad in Del Rio Texas, to do a little bass fishing. It's 200ish miles to get there. Where am I going to stop and charge up my brand new Electric Ford F150? No where! Deal killer. 👎
Ok, I stand corrected.
Right, so just how far should I expect to get pulling 3-4k Lbs? Then after a few years, I should expect to get even less miles between charging because of battery age and use.I'm all for alternative energy sources but the 300+ marketing EV range with current technology may be affected by weather, load, speed, age, etc.....just like your laptop or cell phone.
That will be a popular service. Especially after the grid crashes.Think we can start a new business venture like AAA for EVs with a gas-powered Pilot? View attachment 148940
Can you imagine the power needed to charge all the vehicles in a metro area like a Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth? Then throw in 100°F weather in the summer when the grid is already struggling. I see a disaster in the making if everyone jumps on this at one time, and looks like what is going to happen.Oh C'mon guys!
And we all know, that electricity to charge just spontaneously show up, right?
I hope your right. Just know that electric vehicles are being added to the grid as we speak. If you were ever thinking about owning a whole house generator, now's the time. I'm thinking natural gas since it seems we have a large supply where I live.I'm thinking it will be a very slow transition. Especially if we have some actual brain cells running the country in a few years.
I'm totally oblivious to what this video is about.Knew I'd heard of Del Rio TX somewhere before. Say Hallelujah!
I still dont understand why were not all using Flubber by now.
