I just noticed this message the other day when we got stuck in the snow and took VSA off. Is the computer actually doing something here to help or just allowing you to spin the tires?

Just allowing you to spin the tires some. Update your profile so it shows your location when you hover over the flag. Add year/trim level to details. More information helps us help you. What tires on it now and how many miles? FWD or AWD?

If you have an AWD version with different transmission modes you can also switch to mud or sand which then uses the rear differential clutch packs not the brakes like normal and snow. Search some of my snow/tranny/AWD posts with the links on how it works.

Oh yea, by the way, kudos to you for actually knowing about the VSA and how to turn it off if needed. That puts you in about the maybe 1% of all vehicle owners that do. Hopefully you weren't stuck too long.
