I notice this past weekend that the audio and CC buttons on my steering wheel are not lighted. It was difficult to use at night especially if you haven't memorized their location (or shape). Is this normal, or are my lights not working?

Your not missing the lights, there aren't any.

No lights. Just "feel" your way. The volume (up/down) buttons are raised a little compared to the other 2.

I noticed the same thing and pointed it out to my wife the first time we drove it at night. It is not normal. My past vehicles had steering wheel controls that were lit.

Our Passat has lighted control on the wheel. Very nice.

I've already memorized what each button does on the Pilot so it's really not a big deal to me.

The only thing I dislike is how s........l........o........w the volume goes up and down when you use the steering wheel controls. It's really annoying when you have the radio up and your cell phone rings, takes about 20 - 30 seconds for it to tune down.

I end up simply by-passing the controls on the steering wheel and using the radio knob.

Our Accord's steering wheel audio controls worked much faster.

You are admitting to talking on the cell phone while you are driving your Pilot.

Cell Phone drivers scare me. Multi-tasking is great for computers but bad for driving.
Pull over and answer that phone or get a hands free unit.

I was recently (3 months ago) ran off the road in my M3 by a lady talking on a cell phone and driving across the center line of a curve in the road. I steered my car off the road and onto the shoulder to avoid her and hit a concrete drainage cover and whacked my right alloy wheel to kingdom come ($650). Off course she just kept driving and left me stuck there. I was glad that is all that happened.
