Sounds great! I'm interested and can make the drive to my old stomping grounds if it's on a long weekend...:roadtrip:

If we can schedule something on Oct. 11 (+/- 1 day) it would be perfect timing for us as we will be in Sea World that day.

I would be very interested, but it would have to be on a Sunday. I teach every Saturday.

Looks like there's a lot of response from up north (LA area) so who do you feel about meeting up somewhere in OC like Dana Point? Or how about a BBQ followed by some light off roading? There's got to be a ton of places in Orange County where we can introduce our Pilots to dirt.

We'll have to narrow down the dates and the places. Saturdays are tough for me as I'm busy through November coaching my son's soccer team. Howz about a Sunday drive?

Count us In...

Hi Friends.....

Count us in. We could make the trip and maybe see Disneyland. Keep us on the list and let us know how we can help you.

And here is something cool to think of...

We used to put on small car shows and fun runs. One thing we did that was neat was giving a small "dash plaque" to each entry.

Where? I'd love to check out the 4WD capability of the Pilot. The only thing I can think of is way out in the desert.

Count me in. I'll have to make time for this. Not sure if I can convince the wife to go. Every time I point out another Pilot to her, she replies with "hey, there's a blue car."

I'll attend. Sundays work best for me. I see quite a few Pilots during my commute, but I'm not sure how many of them are registered on this board. To get good attendance, we should invite some of the SoCal MDX folks and make it a Pilot/MDX gathering.

So, how about Oct. 12? We will be in Lakewood and it will definitely be a great experience for us to meet our fellow piloteers.
Oct 12 won't work for me as my wife wouldn't be too happy if I told her our anniversary will be spent talking about cars. She's not the least bit interested. But don't change the date on my account, if it works for most others than go for it. Besides, maybe I can sneak off for a little while...

Does'nt seem to be a whole lot of interest in a So Cal meet. For the upcoming DC meet, I sent Kemo a bunch of foam pads hoping it would help increase participation. So, for the So. Cal meet, how about a roll of the 3M tape for the door edge guard? Everyone who shows will get a roll for free. Heck, I'll even install it for you! So, any more members or guest interested in participating in a So Cal meet?

Let's see....

I was just going to bump this to keep it going.

What can we do to get this meet rolling? Maybe just set a date and location and see who will come then?

Come on Pilot family....we can surely get more owners together than the DC meet!

On another note we don't have the ocean near us...so if we could meet near the ocean would be cool. I love In-N-Out Burgers...so there is another idea (maybe not for those that have one in the back yard).

Nice..but affordable lodging or a nice park might be cool. Castaic is nice if it is still open.

I'm up for it, anytime after this two weeks. I'm grounded for two weeks because I bought a motorcycle without consulting my wife. My credit cards and checkbook have been taken away. All I got is enough for gas.

Haha! Busted. I just hope she understands the logic in the purchase and lets you off the hook. :)

I just threw out an idea to smurray. If we don't get enough response to this (must be the recession), then we can plan a ski trip to Big Bear. That way, we'd be almost guaranteed a chance to kick in the VTM in the snow and the wives might be willing to come. Not to mention, we could ski.

I don't want to sabotage the current plan of meeting in Dana Point on Oct 12, so lets just call this Plan B.
