Pleased today to learn how simple this repair was. I clipped the mirror backed out of garage and I thought great, a $400 mirror replacement. Luckily Honda sells all the parts needed, in this case, just one $35 part. Then I thought for sure I would have to take the entire mirror apart. No, it was simple, just 5 screws. While I was at it, I fixed the vibrating mirror glass syndrome with some epoxy.

after the 3rd time my wife busted it, I picked all the bits up off the floor and JB welded it all back together like a jigsaw puzzle. She hasn;t done it since. when I went and bought the new parts. It was broken again in days. fix it all red neck like and it's been almost 2 years.
I feel your pain. I have a wife like this. Cars, computers, cell phones.
