Shot a few pix of they baby after a nice bath. After a quick wipe down with Griot's Speed Shine, she glows like an amber sunset.

Wasn't able to get that on and grab the shots before the sun went down.

Can you give me a description of the sandstone color? Dark, light, what can I compare it to? I just put a deposit on a Pilot in sandstone, and other than just picturing a metallic tan color, I have no idea what I am getting in two weeks!

Nice pictures, Threadhead!! I also have a Sandstone Metallic -- so much for the Fall delivery (according to the brochure), eh? Glad the factory was able to get Sandstone out before the end of summer. I'll post a few pix shortly... just got mine back from the dealer (fog lights and running board). Getting Michelin Cross Terrains tomorrow. :2:

Please do! I'm eager to see the fogs and boards as they are probably my next purchase.

Have you see the Mojave Mist on the CR-V? Sandstone is close to that, except lighter. Metallic tan is a good description, but it has a small hint of bronze in it. I may be just a tad darker than Mesa Beige, but MB has a golden touch to it that sandstone does not. Overall, a very rich and deep color.

Thanks Threadhead! I can't wait to get this vehicle! I had my heart set on an MDX since January, and when I was finally ready to trade, I decided to test a Pilot. The differences were too minor for me to see putting the THOUSANDS extra into the MDX. My Pilot is scheduled to be built starting on the 17th of this month.

Okay, will do. I'll take some snapshots this weekend and post them up here by Sunday afternoon. I also had the crossbars and rear splash guards installed at the dealer yesterday. I've been reading how quite a few people have done it themselves, but for me, I fear messing something up on a $30K car, you know? So my comfort level was to let the mechanics do it!

catberg -

The funny thing is that when I had my Sandstone Pilot at the dealership yesterday for the accessories installation, the service manager wrote down "Brown" for the color on the invoice when he was writing it up... oh well, I guess there's too many color "names" for the service guys to remember them all, so they just use "generic" colors (red, brown, blue, etc.) to describe the vehicles...
