Hoehn Carlsbad

After reading with some dismay on the time it is going to take to get a pilot, I went to Hoehn in Carlsbad today.

They have deposits on every Pilot coming there way in November.

"A $1,000 deposit will get me in the list for whatever I want at MSRP, nothing over. No commitment on delivery, but I have to either wait for my '99 to come off of lease, or turn it in early. Shooting for Lete January

Anyone getting below MSRP? If so how?

They would not go below retail on accessories.

What were you able to get your accessories for? Am I not up to getting them lower or is there a better way to get the add ons?

Ball (National City) was receptive to negotiation; bought EXL at MSRP + 400 for package (wheel locks, mud flaps, cargo net). The usual high pressure pitch (extended warranty, paint protection) followed in the financing office, but when you say no - twice - they stop.
Hoehn (Carlsbad) wanted MSRP + 2000;
Norm Reeves (Temecula) wanted MSRP + 695 for their package (wheel locks, mud flaps, net);
Pacific was well over MSRP;
Poway wouldn't negotiate: they offer incoming Pilots to the highest bidder;
Cush wanted MSRP + 460.

Bought my Silver Ex at Poway Honda on Sunday (11/24) for MSRP. $29,730. They had added their usual markup of $2,995 but I had just bought an Accord there in June, so I think they appriecated the repeat business.
Love it so far, looking at what acs to add...suggestions??

Any good prices in SD lately?

Has anyone gotten close to invoice near San Diego? I'm getting calls almost daily from Mark from the IT department at Pacific Honda claiming that they will meet anyones price and they include discounts on accessories and free loaners when you bring in your Pilot for service.
I've been looking for about a month now but haven't found anyone willing to go below MSRP.

I am looking for a Pilot in San Diego. Two dealers, Hoehn and Pacific are willing to go $1000 below MSRP on a EX L w/NAV, anyone aware of a better deal? THANKS!

Welcome pojesse! If you don't mind the drive I was able to get a better deal by shopping in the LA market. I actually bought mine in Ontario a little more than a month ago. I was able to get a no-haggle price about $500 below the price I had to fight for down here. I was playing the email game with several dealers in SD and was only able to get about $1100 below MSRP at Pacific Honda.
