I've been watching a ton of YT videos and viewing different sites that make aftermarket parts (I'd like to stay On-Brand with Honda). It appears that the Honda branded running boards sit a little more inward than others. Other brands have slots for the attachments that let you slide the boards in and out, forward and backward as where the Honda appear to be "bolt on" and go. If you have the Honda branded boards do you feel that they sit proud enough from the body to be useful? If you do have them how are they working out for you? There are 2 different styles, Die Cast and then just "Black" running boards. Which to you have and how do you like them? The non die cast boards only have 2 attachment points and I was wondering if that is enough. The Die Cast have a 3 point mount.

I installed the Honda branded "Black" running boards about 2 weeks ago. As far as stability goes they're fine. My only complaint is that they do not extend far enough from the body in order to make them really useful. Yes, you can use them when entering or exiting the car, but I have noticed that most people when getting in and out of the car will hesitate when making that first step as if to wonder if using the running boards is a good idea or not. I really wish they extended another 2 inches.

I'm not sure how I missed your first post.

I have the Die Cast ones, love them, would buy then again.

As I've commented before they will rip ankle and leg hair out. It took a few months to get used to but I have young kids and didn't want anyone slipping. I figured these had the best grip.

They are slightly tucked in but the Pilot is fairly bulb shaped. I typically only step on the running boards when my shoes or feet are dirty and I need to shake off sand or dirt. Or when I'm washing the car. Otherwise I step over them.

My kids do use them everyday and I'm glad I bought them.

I documented my install here:
