Yes! They can be repaired!!!!

My left one came of great and the right one had the tab break off as it shot across the garage. Called Tim and everyone else and they are on back-order unti mid-August. I decided to try some glue in the hope it would hold until then.

Went to Home Depot and purchased a product by Super Glue called Plasti-Fuse. Has a small bottle of primer and a tube of glue. Put on the primer, let it dry (dries in about 10 seconds), put the glue on and hold the tab for about 30 seconds. PRESTO! It was solid as a rock! I tried to break it back off again in my hand and it was really on their tight.

Went out to the Pilot, lined it up and it snapped right back in place.

I still may order one from Tim in case it does pop off, but for right now it's working great!

Glad to hear you got it fixed.

So this Plasti-Fuse glue will hold the little tabs that break off plastic parts when they break off? I break those thinks off all kinds of stuff and just end up throwing them out. If this glue will reattach them, and they will hold, I have to get me a tube. How much was it?

Glue

Normal super glue will not hold a lot of plastic. This one (made by super glue) really bonded that sucker on tight! I was amazed.

Best part - the glue cost $2.47 at Home Depot
