Does anyone know how the factory installed RES system connects to the head unit?

newblu: A 26-pin connector on the back on the DVD Player unit goes to a 22-pin connector on the back of the Radio Head Unit...

...I have the pinouts for both if you need them... :4: :17:

Which one of tose cables goes to the monitor? Just curious!:D

Not that it matters, but any idea what the other 4 pin positions are for?

m-mmeyer: None of the connectors in the photo... :p

The monitor (i.e., the flip-down screen and the associated controls on that unit) connects directly to the back of the Radio Head Unit via a 16-pin connector -- it doesn't directly connect to the DVD Player unit... :)

Sorry, I don't have a picture of the back of the Radio Head Unit... :(

newblu: The "4 pin positions" that you reference is actually an 8-pin connector that links the DVD Player unit with the Auxiliary Jack assembly in the 2nd row (behind the center console):
