How much cooling to the transmission fluid is provided by the stock radiator? I was wondering if adding a towing radiator to the front of the condencer, or two of them, would provide enough cooling to completely delete the stock radiator in order to completely eliminate the possibility of antifreeze leaking into the tranny.

I believe the stock radiator also helps to warm up the tranny fluid on cold days. You’d lose that feature if you went separate for tranny and engine coolant radiators.

And I thought you went with an aftermarket radiator which was supposed to be more reliable than the updated stock radiator.

Yeah, but I am having a second thought about that, now that my son is likely to take over the vehicle to go to school. If it was just me, I would not worry, but he is going to put a lot of miles on it.
